Tri-City Children’s Dream Foundation, Inc.

The Children’s Dream Retreat will consist of a main lodge with 6 attached bungalows, 3 on each side.  The main lodge will have a kitchen/storage area, restrooms, laundry facilities, dining area, recreation area, screened in porch, and deck area in back.

Amenities will include projection satellite TV and Blue-ray movie system within the lodge.  For enjoyment outdoors, we will provide a swimming pool, special game areas, and hard surfaced walking trails.  First aid and special safety requirements will be a priority in all areas.

We will be promoting ecology and environmental concerns to the families to help them better understand how these things make for a better life for all.

The retreat will open May 15 and close September 15. To make reservations you can call (715) 422-2002.

Upon arrival, the families will be escorted to their special bungalow.  They will then receive a schedule showing activities available on the grounds during their stay and a menu with meal times in the main dining area.  Special diet requirements can be requested with your reservation.

Rooms will be serviced daily between 11 am and 2 pm.  This service will consist of daily vacuuming, light cleaning, and fresh towels.  Linens will be changed on Saturday.

Staff will consist of a manager, kitchen staff, janitor/grounds keeper, and maid/laundry person.  An approved first aid lifeguard will be on the premises daily in the swimming area. Duties of these positions will be outlined in a special manual.

Daily meals will consist of a menu selection for breakfast and lunch and a pre-set dinner at 6 pm each evening.

After the conclusion of the evening meal we will have different activities available on different evenings for all to participate in, such as games or a movie.

Again, the main idea is to enhance quality family time together in a very relaxed atmosphere. To ensure the family quality time is the end result, there is no cost to a family staying at the Children’s Dream Retreat.  We want to make this an experience they will cherish forever.

In our day-to-day routine there are so many things we do and don’t even think twice about it.  We wake up in the morning, get out of bed, shower, get dressed, make something to eat, and then, well just a multitude of things fall into place for us.  Take a look around and you will see some children who can only watch as we do these simple tasks.  For many children, if they could just get out of bed on their own or get a drink of water, they would be so happy.  These are the children the Tri-City Children’s Dream Foundation Inc. is looking to help.  We want to give these special children a chance to do something in life that is fun and exciting for them.

There are many organizations out there, which use the funding they receive for research, in hopes to find cures for diseases, which afflict these children.  That is great, but our goal is to give these children something now, to help them feel better about the life they have and to feel better about themselves.
